Q: What is a zine?
A: A fanzine, zine for short, is a term combined from the words fan and magazine. It is a booklet made for fans by fans. It is a non-official publication either in the form of PDF or physical book,
often containing a mix of artworks and written works for a specific series, fan group, or event.

Q: Is this a for-profit zine?
A: This will be a for-profit zine.

Q: Are Minors allowed in this event?
A: No, Due to the legalities surrounding the compensation of minors, and this being a for-profit project, we will not be accepting any applications from minors.

Q: Will this be physical or digital?
A: The answer to this is dependent on the outcome of our interest check.

Q: How will contributors be selected?
A: We will open applications on November 28th, 2022.

A: We are looking for 19 Page Artists, 4 Merch Artists, and 4 Writers.

Q: Do my samples need to be focused on Sk8?
A: In short, yes at least one sample needs to be focused on Sk8. If you would like to, you can add other samples showing off your best work.

Q: Will there be any content restrictions?
A: This is a SFW only planner.

A: We are not inviting guests.

A: We will have an answer to this question closer to production.

A: yes we will be. We are an inclusive event for all characters!

Thank you for your interest in becoming a contributor!
-Writer samples should be no LESS than 1500 words, and at least two samples must be provided. Excerpts are allowed, and you may provide a third sample. Total wordcount of all samples together MUST be under 8k words. FANDOM characters are required in at least one example, preferred in two. We are looking for word flow, correct grammar and word use, characterization, and the ability to tell a complete story in a short form.Note: Twitter and Tumblr links will not be accepted. Twitter threadfic will not be accepted unless it has been converted to full fic form.-Artists must provide 3 samples and a portfolio. One sample must be SK8 the Infinity, and for month artists, at least one example should have a full background. We are looking for anatomy, composition, coloring, and use of light. Consistency between examples may come into consideration in the case of a tie. Merch artists are expected to provide at least at least one example of fully produced digital merch, but may provide designs for the other two samples.Please be aware that upon acceptance to the zine, you will be asked to verify your age.If you have any questions, our RetroSpring and Twitter are both linked at the bottom of the page!
